•Tansistorized?
Yes. Aren't we all? More transistors are made each year
than number of rain drops fall on California.
•"Warning: the discussion gets a little
technical and may cause drowsiness! " That's how a Deutsche
Bank client report begins on explaining a tax issue.

Not every row, in above, adds up to 100%. Because
some people chose "neither," implying that they're happy with
what they have.
•Teamwork: "The
possibility
of putting the blame on others."
•33 million people living in the U.S. have been born outside
of the U.S. That's about 12% of the total population.
•The price of China's prosperity: China's share of the world's
growing demand for oil, accounts for a third of the global rise in oil use
in 2003 and 2004. China now takes Japan's place as the number 2 oil
consumer in the world after the U.S. Furthermore, China's surging
economy is creating a huge demand for ships to import the basic raw
materials the country needs to build infrastructure, supply its massive
manufacturing sector and satisfy a growing consumer market. As more
ships go to China, fewer are available to ferry goods between other
countries. The result: A nearly tripling of the freight rates just
in the past three months. There are no signs of relief on the
horizon in terms of lower prices or additional supplies of vessels, says
industry officials. "We are at a price spike that has never
been seen before, the highest-rate market of all." That's going
to be paid for, by the consumers across the world.
•May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough
trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human and enough hope
to make you happy.

•Wishing you the season's peace, joy and

•The typical U.S. household owns 1.9 cars, trucks or
SUVs but has only 1.8 licensed drivers.
•Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson went
on a camping trip. As they lay down for the night, Holmes
asked: "Watson, look up into the sky and tell what you
see." Watson said, "I see millions and millions of
stars." Holmes: "And what does that tell
you?" Watson: "Astronomically, it tells me that
there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of
planets. Theologically, it tells me that God is great and that
we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, it tells me
that we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What does it tell
you?" Holmes: "Elementary, my dear Watson.
Somebody stole our tent."
